Separation of content and presentation is not a new idea. Wikipedia has a page on the issue of separation. Not just an idea for the web, this idea is also important for the mathematics world because mathematicians write a lot. Perhaps we ought to expose ourselves more to the incredible powers of LaTeX and other similar products.
In a small meaning of the word, we could be computer programmers just by writing our papers in TeX.
