"You don't want your phone to be an open platform—you need it to work when you need it to work," Apple CEO Steve Jobs told me in January.

The above quote from Newsweek makes me think of my relations with Steve Jobs and with him, everything Apple. This is a big statement to me. Does Steve Jobs really care about some teenager being unable to dial 9-1-1?



If yes, I salute his concern for the ordinary citizens. However, from his statement, isn't he implying that the iPhones are invincible?
